Jon Alexander — Maumee native Jon Alexander has built a solid career in the film industry as a visual effects artist. He is part of a top tier group working on the technical side of multi-million dollar projects and has been involved in multiple discussions with directors and producers including George Lucas. His credits are found on a wide range of films including Ready Player One, Mother!, First They Killed My Father, Rogue One, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Jurassic Park, The Great Gatsby, Death Becomes Her, Ghost, Back to the Future II and many, many more. He is a member of both the British Academy of Film and the Visual Effects Society and he currently serves as Composite and Stereo Supervisor for Films, Rides & Venues for Lucasfilm at Industrial Light & Magic in San Francisco, Calif. Jon attended St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School in Maumee and is a 1972 graduate of St. John’s Jesuit High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema from The Ohio State University in 1978.
Ben-Alex Dupris is an enrolled member of the Colville Confederated Tribes. He was a 2017 Sundance Institute producer’s fellow, The Redford Center Recipient, a Fellow at Concordia Studio, artist in residence at Blue Mountain Center, in New York and he spent several months on the ground during the occupation at Standing Rock, ND. During this time, he worked with The Redford Center, Ford Foundation, Bertha Docs, Sundance Institute and the Executive Alliance of Boys and Men of Color to bring the social justice issues of Native American people to the forefront. He has also worked for VICE, Disney and HBO.

Jamie Smith (Guest Judge) — As a founding partner of Enterprise Screen, Jamie is responsible for steering and driving the company forward. He has managed and delivered content for clients with a global reach. This has included diverse communications and advertising projects with Owens-Illinois, Stena, the NHS, Rolls Royce, Hewlett-Packard, The University of Glasgow as well as national campaigns for the Scottish Government and broadcast commercials for an extensive list of clients. He has a real talent for knowing how to develop an idea for people and organizations to engage their audience. This combines with understanding key roles in creative video communications and bringing the right team together to deliver results.
